Change in the Air

A new year and some new changes ... for Eric!

On Monday night we took out the toddler bed and put a twin bed in Eric's room. He was so excited, he couldn't stand still. On Tuesday morning he said, "I had a good time in my bed last night, mom." I told him that was nice, but couldn't help thinking to myself that I never want to hear that phrase from my son again!

We also received news on Monday that Eric's pre-school is closing it's doors this month. We were very fortunate to able to get Eric in their sister center that is not closing. But it makes me sad to think of all the teachers and workers there that are so nice and are now are out of a job. Eric's teacher, Miss Denise, is one of the sweetest teachers ever. She is quiet, fun, disciplined, and does an extraordinary job with the 10 children in her class. Eric is going to miss her, and all his little friends that he sees everyday. And even though he would be leaving them all in June or August, it's somehow not the same right now.

He will start at his new school on Monday. I know he will do great, because he is so good about making new friends and being flexible. In fact, I will take a few lessons from him as well!

I'm so proud of him.
